forgotten
This wire sculpture, composed of two paint tubes, a palette knife, and a long brush, marks my reconnection with art after a long hiatus. For a time, I believed that I was meant to become an engineer, but the pandemic shifted my path, guiding me back to my roots in creation. Through the act of crafting this 1:1 replica of familiar art supplies, I rediscovered the passion and joy of making. The hollow nature of the sculptures represents the feeling of abandonment—these tools, once vibrant with potential, had been forgotten in the rush of other pursuits. They now stand as a reminder of the importance of reconnecting with what we love, and how, even in stillness, creation can be a way to remember and revive our true selves.
